More work for the tooth fairy

Child #2 had a very loose tooth this afternoon. She wiggled it, wiggled it and then begged me to pull it.

This is usually not my department, but she has swallowed 2 teeth already so I decided to intervene--if only to have the tooth in hand and perpetuate the tooth fairy experience.

Over several minutes I gave it a few flicks, a few twists, I saw it getting looser. She kept coming back for more. Finally, one good tap in the right direction, and it popped right out.

If a child were to save up all the tooth fairy money--and let's say invest it with a decent return--would it be possible to retire on that "nest egg" 60 years later?

(answer: not unless you know a very generous tooth fairy)
